Stroke Awareness Walk

The annual stroke awareness walk is held in Fossil, Oregon, and is just over a mile long. The route was designed to start at the Wheeler County Court house where Barb worked for nearly 30 years, then past her childhood home and up the scenic path around the Wheeler County Fair Grounds where she spent countless hours volunteering, finally ending at Wheeler High School, her alma mater. The walk is appropriate for all levels of participants and has benches along the way if they need a rest or just want to enjoy the view of the beautiful small town Barb loved so much. Following the walk, everyone gathers back at the Fairgrounds for a bbq featuring Painted Hills Natural Beef courtesy of PHNB and of course, socializing--Barb's favorite pastime.
